We didn’t do much except stand lines for Second Platoon because they were out on a platoon-size patrol. In the afternoon, we got the word saying we would be going out on a company size patrol the next day.

You asked me how I liked VietNam. Well I hate it. I'm out all day and night beating the bush. I live like an animal twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. I sleep on the ground with all the bugs and rats.
