27 JULY 68

Dear Mom,

I hope everything is alright at home. I am just fine. We are moving out on another operation this morning. We are landing on top of a mountain and we have to secure the top of the maintain so more people can land there. We don't expect any enemy occupation on the mountain. But just in case we do find any, we have to get  rid of them. If we find any bunkers we will have to blow them up and the people inside them.

Well, I have to go now. I'll finish this letter after we secure the Mountain called Becky.

__________

Well, we landed on the top of the Mountain. And there wasn't any NVA. on it. But the whole top of it was on fire. So now I am on the side, waiting for the NVA to come up. But I doubt if there are any down there. So don't worry about me.

When you get my first pay check, I want you to take out $85 for dad and $25 for M. I owe her the money. If there's not that much money, I want you to give M the first $25 and the rest to dad. Then he will get the rest of his money the next pay check. Also tell M to write me right away because I need the mail. Also tell Grandma to write me too.

I  sure will be glad when it rains, because it is so hot here in the sun.

I am going on an ambush tonight. I sure hope we kill some NVA. because I have to get them back for killing Oscar. The next time you write Uncle Oscar, tell him I'm still waiting to get even for Oscar, Jr. And tell them also I'm going to write them as soon as I get a chance.

Well I can't think of anything else to tell you. So I guess I better go. Write soon.

Love Your Son, CC
