Basic Mission
1-2 August 1968
- Conduct search and destroy operations in assigned area to locate and destroy enemy forces, fortifications, supply caches and to be prepared to support ARVN elements by fire and maneuver
3-25 August 1968
- Provide security for THON SON Lam, RHE GIO Bridge and route #9 in AO. Conduct anti-infiltration operations in assigned A)
- Conduct cordon operations in the LEATHERNECK SQUARE south of A-3
- One Company CHOP to 3d Mar Div for LZ Pedro. Two Companies plus CP move to THON SON LAM for rehabilitation. One Company to Camp Carroll for rehabilitation. Be prepared to relocate 2nd Battalion on order.
